Our Story
In 2006 our mission began with experiments in Dr. Navarro’s garage exploring how to amplify the pressure of falling water without using more power than we produced. At that time, billions of people around the world did not have access to any form of electricity yet the availability of electricity appeared to be a strategic need for economic development.
Our parent company was originally registered as Creative Mind Solutions, LLC. to explore various solutions to real-life problems for people around the world. As work progressed and became more focused on hydro-electric services, Renewable Ocean Energy, Inc. (ROE) was founded in 2013 as a division of CMS to focus on our renewable energy platforms.
Our goal was to produce renewable energy where it was never possible before. Our focus has always been “It CAN Be Done In Harmony With Nature” which is the blending of President Ronald Reagan’s mantra “It CAN Be Done” and nutrition pioneer, Dr. Forrest Shaklee whose mantra was “In Harmony With Nature”. Since that time, we developed a team of professionals, have spent over $ 475,000 of our own money, and worked countless unpaid hours on evenings, weekends, and holidays to create the working model.
Initially, our focus was on wave energy which resulted in the creation of two wave energy devices, Sea Electrical Energy Production I and Sea Electrical Energy Production II which were each patented in the U.S. In 2015, we finally rejected wave energy as a viable source of power because waves are not consistent and are, therefore, as unreliable form of hydroelectric energy such as solar and wind. Since 2011, our focus has been to fulfill the ten Renewable Energy Challenges posed by a group from Hawaii. We committed to the realization that renewable energy must be available when it is needed not just when it can be produced. We have addressed every one of the renewable energy challenges.
Dr. Richard Navarro was issued a US patent
In 2019 Dr. Richard Navarro was issued a US patent for HDT (Hydro Dynamic Turbines). HDT has two major applications 1) Active water flow; 2) Passive water. The Hydro Dynamic Turbines were originally developed in response to a Department of Energy request to produce cost-effective electricity at the 87,000-low head (less than 30 feet tall) dams.
